INGREDIENTS
Bloody Mary Oyster Shots (Recipe for 6 Shots)

  • Ice
  • Tomato Juice (V8 Vegetable Juice): 100ml (3 oz)
  • Lemon Juice: 7.5ml (0.25 oz)
  • Worcestershire Sauce: 7.5ml (0.25 oz)
  • Vodka: 40ml (1 oz)
  • Smoked Paprika or Old Bay Seasoning: a pinch
  • Fantasea-salt: a pinch
  • Ground Black Pepper: a pinch
  • Celery Salt: a pinch
  • 6 fresh oysters, shucked
  • 6 celery stalk tips (garnish)
  • Lemon wedge (garnish)

DIRECTIONS
Prepare and Rim the Shot Glasses:
  • In a small bowl, mix a touch of smoked paprika or Old Bay seasoning, Fantasea-salt, and celery salt. Place the mix onto a side plate.
  • Take a lemon wedge and run it around the rim of each shot glass, then dip the rims into the mix to coat them.
Mixing the Cocktail:
  • Add plenty of ice and all the liquid ingredients to a jug, shaker, or stirring glass and mix well. Allow the ice to chill the mixture thoroughly before using. Note: The varying size of oysters can make it hard to determine the exact amount of liquid needed; therefore, feel free to top up with more tomato juice.
Garnish and Serve:
  • Place one shucked oyster into each shot glass.
  • Strain the cocktail mixture into a cup with a lip and pour evenly into each shot glass.
  • Garnish with a celery stalk tip and let the good times roll!

DISCLAIMER:

In the name of perfection, I may have indulged in a few during recipe testing (I take my taste-testing very seriously). I’m afraid the results might be slightly influenced by enthusiastic ‘sampling’. Consider this my official endorsement of fun!
